How It Works

ItalyPlus.Net

Italylus.net was established with the aim of selling food, wine and alcoholic beverages produced by small and medium size italian companies on a wholesale basis.

The use of ItalyPlus.net is therefore restricted to producers (considered Sellers and also users) and to sales representatives (as Buyers) of the enogastronomical and alcoholic beverages sector. Producers and relevant professional buyers (importers, distributors, businessmen, Horeca, wholesalers, large distributors, specialized shops etc.) can therefore register as members.

How ItalyPlus.net works is quite simple and can be explained by the two classic different points of view; by the Sellers and the Buyers.

1. from a Seller’s point of view (user)
The seller (basically the producer) maintains, via the credentials which are issued upon registration, their catalogue of products they wish to sell. Within their catalogues they can also manage: promotional sales (such as special prices for their stock), accept offers different than regular price, issue discount coupon, manage minimum purchasable quantities for each product, etc..

2. from a Buyer’s point of view
Buyers can purchase items after registering to ItalyPlus.net. Minimun purchasable quantities are specified on a per product basis. For some products, the buyers will be able to negotiate a different price

Selling prices

Selling prices are established for wholesale sales excluding transportation costs (FOB ex-farm) and thus exclude: insurance and delivery costs to the buyers address, VAT and other consumption taxes (Excise, manufacturing, etc, where applicable) and customs duties (where applicable). The above-mentioned costs are entirely the buyer’s responsibility.

Payments

Payments, via Paypal, credit card or bank transfer (with a 3.5% discount) must be made in advance. The collection service is handled by Langhe.net srl – a sole shareholder company – which manages ItalyPlus.net. Payments are therefore made out to Langhe.net srl – a sole shareholder company – which will then issue the payment to the Seller (user) once the payment guarantee period has lapsed.

Deliveries

It is the Buyer’s responsibility to collect the goods from the Seller’s (user) address. Should there be purchases from more than one Seller, the collection of the goods should be organized and programmed in order to pick up the goods from each individual Seller (user).

Seller’s Guarantee

The Seller (user) guarantees that the products on sale in their catalogue correspond to their description, conform to current legislation, adhere to hygiene-sanitary and food safety standards and do not have any problems and/or hidden defects.

The buyer has 45 (forty-five) days time, once the payment has been made, to file a complaint through Paypal (if possible) or directly to Langhe.net srl – a sole shareholder company – for the followings reasons:

  1. non-delivery of goods;
  2. delivered goods do not comply with ordered goods

Any refund of payments will be net of Paypal fees or bank commission charges relating to the bank transfer.

Buyer’s Guarantees

The Buyer guarantees to be in possession of a valid commercial license in the country where their business is carried out in compliance with all applicable laws regarding the sale of purchased goods. Particular reference is made, as far as alcoholic products are concerned, to protecting minors (where applicable) and to complying to the local legislation on advertising alcohol and consumer protection.

The Buyer guarantees as well, thus making it clear that it is not the Seller’s responsibility in any way, to be in a position to carry out all obligations and payments owing: tax, customs, currency etc. relevant to the importation of purchased goods.

Arbitrary clause

An arbitrary clause is foreseen for disputes arising between sellers (users) and buyers.
